At Forward we specialise in helping all Melbourne cyclists with injury assessment, treatment and tailored bike fitting. We offer three types of bike fits: Chiropractic bike fit, Performance bike fit, and Essential bike fit.  All our bike fit are performed on your existing bike (no pre-purchase bike fitting). 1. Chiropractic bike fit

Reach your full potential as a cyclist with our most advanced bike fit. We combine our knowledge about the human body and cycling to give you the best physical assessment and bike fitting experience. This session is designed if you are a serious cyclist who wants to win races, prevent injury and reach your goals. This session also includes an initial chiropractic appointment and treatment (private health insurance rebates included). If clinically indicated, we can refer you for x-rays. All adjustments will be performed on your own bike.

Who is this service for:

  • All serious Melbourne cyclists
  • If you would like to have your injury/pain assessed by a professional chiropractor
  • You have past injuries (eg. fractured leg, hip/knee surgery, low-back pain) that affects your day-to-day life  and/or cycling experience
  • You want to prevent injury
  • You would like to find out how you can take your cycling to the next level without pain or discomfort

What to bring for your bike fit:

Please bring your bike and all your normal cycling equipment such as shoes, insoles/orthotics, bibs and jersey, gloves etc. Please email us (prior to your appointment) any scans (MRI, X-rays etc.) or reports that are relevant to your injury.

2. Performance bike fit

The main objective of this session is to make you comfortable, faster and more efficient on the bike. We combine our knowledge about the human body and cycling to give you the best chiropractic assessment and bike fitting experience. We will take a detailed look at all the contact points (saddle, handlebar and pedals) as well as finding ways to make you more efficient and aerodynamic on the bike. From here we will analyse and make adjustments to find which position is more efficient. This service includes a pdf. with all your measurements, and a complimentary follow up. All adjustments will be performed on your own bike.

  • You have past injuries (eg. fractured leg, hip/knee surgery, low-back pain) that affects your day-to-day life  and/or cycling experience
  • You want to prevent injury
  • You would like to find out how you can take your cycling to the next level without pain or discomfort

Please bring your bike and all your normal cycling equipment such as shoes, insoles/orthotics, bibs and jersey, gloves etc.

3. Essential bike fit

The main objective of this session is to make you comfortable and confident on the bike. We will take a detailed look at all the contact points (saddle, handlebar and pedal), as well as give you tips and tricks on how you can get more out of your riding. This service is ideal for beginner cyclists or commuters. All adjustments will be performed on your own bike.

  • You would like to get the most out of your cycling
  • If you experience pain when riding, and would like to make your riding more comfortable.
  • If you would like to prevent injuries
